PAF bombing in Hangu and Orakzai

Posted in Domestic Affairs by onpakistan on June 12, 2009

“The body of a six-year-old girl was found in the debris of the seminary“.

Whilst the Pakistani media is focused on the bombings of the Jaamia Naeemia madrassa and Nowshera, PAF bombing in Hangu and Orakzai seems to have gone largely unnoticed. The dead included many militants, local women and children, and Sunni Supreme Council chief Maulana Muhammad Amin, who apparantely was closely linked with the militants. The local people are enraged and police have abandoned their checkpoints. See this and this. As usual Inter-Services Public Relations lies and flatly denies that any non-militants were killed. Everything bombed was a “hideout”. I suppose the ‘courageous’ PAF pilots will be awarded medals and will boast of their manliness and prowess for years to come.
